Not Good
The controls are beyond obtuse - they are dangerous. It takes more attention to change the radio station than to text on a cell phone. It is almost impossible to go forward through tracks on a CD - the "master control" is so sensitive it goes to another function before I can get where I want.
The reason I have to run through tracks is that the CD player skips all over. I've never had a problem with an audio book starting in the middle when first inserted - except with this unit.
I am returning it and hope they either replace it or refund the price so I can buy another.
Awesome Deck!
I was looking all around for an affordable deck for my car and I stumbled upon this one. I looked more into its specs and decided that I'd buy one. I got it and had it installed and this thing is awesome! It has features that I would expect on only high end models and it sounds great with every kind of music that you can play. You can control the amount of khz that go through each speaker and control the the kind of bass that goes through your sub. this thing is all you'll ever need and it's affordable! I definitely recommend this.

Like it very much...nice sound enough amp. power to get quality sound. Controls...are little bit touchy and very confusing at times.
Lot's of useful functions. LCD display are not as bright as I like them to be. But over all, I can recommend to someone looking for
a mid budget unit.
Unit failed after six months and Pioneer service is useless
I was initially happy with this stereo - though the controls were a bit hard to navigate and programming the radio stations was next to impossible, it definitely sounded better than my previous car stereo and had a lot of features for the price. However, after about six months, it began spontaneously powering off randomly - would just go dead for no reason. The lights would go off and none of the controls would function, though it would come back to life eventually after removing and jiggling the face plate. At first it happened occasionally, but then more often, so I contacted Pioneer. They have been less than helpful - I am told that I am responsible for paying to have the unit removed and shipped to their authorized repair center, and will have to pay for the reinstallation if they are able to fix it, even though it is under warranty (they have no local service centers). I emailed them through their site but only received an autoresponder. Called the national service center and left a message for a supervisor, but no one called back. So, I am very disappointed in Pioneer - sometimes things break, but if you don't care about your customers then you don't deserve their business.
Great Combination with Pioneer Speakers
Love the USB connection. Gone are the days of cd. I love this and I'm glad I bought it.
